Based in California, John Blazevich built a multi-million-dollar company from scratch, achieving total sales revenues of more than $4 billion. He successfully sold the company in 2011. John Blazevich managed numerous additional business ventures over several decades as an entrepreneur, including the world’s first environmentally conscious frozen food manufacturing plant, which received multiple energy certifications. He also constructed Hacienda de la Paz, one of the largest homes ever built in the United States and the second largest residence in California.
John Blazevich has always balanced his business activities with his philanthropic work. He began supporting recovery efforts for the Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle in Tampico, Mexico, in 1993. By 2010, the species had been upgraded from endangered to threatened, with annual hatchings increasing from a few hundred to more than a million. He has also supported Habitat for Humanity and supported those affected by the war in Yugoslavia.
John Blazevich studied marketing and finance at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. When he is not working or pursuing charitable interests, he enjoys traveling.
